Your game library
Duo Queue stores game titles, tags, play status, ratings, moods, notes, chosen cover photos, source links, imported friends' lists, game-night nicknames, shortlists, choices, plans and memories on your device. We do not operate an account service, social network or backend for this content. We do not send game content or game-night choices to RevenueCat.
Scanning a game box
On the Scan tab you point the camera at a game box or a screen and press the shutter. The camera runs only while the Scan tab is open, and nothing is recorded. When you press the shutter, the single frame you took is reduced to about 640 pixels and sent once to our catalog service, hosted on Google Cloud, which passes it to OpenAI's API to identify the game in the picture. Our service does not store the photo, does not attach it to any identifier, and keeps only the name the model returned so the same answer does not have to be requested twice. Under OpenAI's API data usage terms, content sent through the API is not used to train their models. The app may send, alongside the photo, a few lines of text it read from the box on your device; if the picture gives no answer, those lines are sent on their own to be corrected and searched.
The photo stays on your device only if you choose "Add … from this photo", in which case it becomes the game's cover in your library. The first scan is free; from the second one the app asks for Queue Pass before it captures or sends anything.

Game discovery, trailers and rooms
The FreeToGame catalog and artwork connect to FreeToGame; filtering that catalog happens on your device. When IGDB search is connected, the title you search and requested game IDs are sent to our catalog service hosted by Google Cloud and then to IGDB. IGDB serves the game artwork directly. The "Live on Twitch" and "Streamer" chips read Twitch's public listings through the same service; there is no Twitch sign-in and nothing about you is sent to Twitch. This service does not receive your private library, notes, personal photos or room choices. The service caches public game responses temporarily; we do not add application request logs. Providers may process IP addresses and ordinary network information under their own infrastructure policies. A working catalog connection is shown in the app; an unconnected service does not offer console search.
A game's page can show the publisher's trailer as a YouTube embed (youtube-nocookie.com). Nothing plays until you press the play button; when you do, YouTube and Google receive ordinary network information such as your IP address and may set cookies in the embedded player, under Google's privacy policy. The app itself does not report what you watched.
A .duoroom file includes its room name, game references, participant nicknames and choices. It includes public catalog metadata and artwork URLs, not the image files, your personal photos or private notes. The file is sent only through a share action you choose. Returned documents merge participant updates on the receiving device; there is no automatic room synchronization.

Purchases
Apple processes payment, and RevenueCat verifies and restores access to the one-time purchase. RevenueCat receives purchase and receipt or transaction information, an anonymous app user identifier, and device/app information needed for purchase processing and purchase analytics in the RevenueCat dashboard. No name or email is requested by the app for a purchase. We do not use advertising, tracking across other companies' apps or websites, or advertising SDKs.
These services have their own policies: RevenueCat Privacy Policy and Apple Privacy Policy.
Source links and images
When you share or open a game source link, Apple's LinkPresentation may contact the linked website to fetch a title or thumbnail. That website can receive ordinary network information such as your IP address. Source thumbnails are stored as a local cache and are excluded from generated sharing cards and exported lists. If you choose a personal cover photo using Apple's photo picker, the selected photo is stored locally; the app does not require access to your entire photo library, and photos chosen this way are never sent anywhere.
What you choose to share
A .duoqueue file contains your chosen display name and game titles, normalized titles, tags, status and export date. Source URLs are included only when you enable Include source links in exports. Use a nickname instead of your legal name. Cards can contain selected game titles, ratings, moods and notes. Shared game-night text can include a nickname, chosen title, proposed time window or a memory. The app does not send these automatically. Data you send through Messages, AirDrop or another service is handled by that service and the people receiving it.
Retention and deletion
The app retains local content until you remove it. Settings → Erase everything on this device removes your shelf, imported lists, game nights, memories, cover photos, cached thumbnails and app settings. Your App Store purchase is not deleted. Files or images already shared outside the app remain with their recipients or destination services. Apple's device backup and the purchase providers' retention policies may apply to data those services hold. Photos sent for scanning are not retained by our service, so there is nothing to delete on our side.
Support and policy changes
If you email support, we receive your email address and the content you send and use it to respond to your request. Contact tangocards.support@gmail.com with privacy questions or requests. Material policy changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
